Magno Viera – Technical Director

As Technical Director, Magno is responsible for delivering and overseeing our programme. He brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience, holding a UEFA B Licence. He drives the football philosophy and is evident in the way our athletes train, play and conduct themselves.

As a player, recently played for Team Wellington and Kapiti Coast United. Having starting his career with Wigan Athletic, he has represented the likes of Barnet, Wycombe Wanderers, Fleetwood Town and Forest Green Rovers.

Matt Calcott – Head Coach

Matt, as one of our Head Coaches, is an extremely experienced and valuable person to have in our team. He currently holds an Asia B Licence and is working through the final stages of his A Licence – a very high coaching qualification.

Matt’s coaching resumé is up there with the best in New Zealand. After five seasons with Team Wellington, Matt’s results included the franchise’s maiden national premiership title, two second-placed finishes and a pair of Champions League runners-up medals.

Mark Oates – Keeper Coach

Mark is one of the most experienced keeper coaches in the country having coached shot stoppers for New Zealand Men’s U17, U20, U23, Wellington Phoenix and Team Wellington.

Martìn Garcia – Head Coach

Martìn is a recent addition to the Inside Right coaching team after spending  the past 11 years with Island Bay United as their Technical Director. Martìn currently holds an Asia C Licence and is working towards an OFC/NZF B Licence in 2019. 

Martìn’s coaching credentials include Karori Waterside’s 2017 promotion to Central League after back-to-back Capital Premier Men’s titles. 

In 2015, Martìn established the IBU Junior Shark academy, focussing on 7-12 year olds and in 2018 created a new U17 squad, focussing on continued development for youth players. Joining Inside Right completes Martìn’s player development pathway through to senior football.
